The Stains performed our version of Mountain Twerker at the Fontana Clogging Jamboree. Grandma was Twerkin real good too !!! What happens at Fontana stays at Fontana.

The Fontana Clogging Jubilee crowd was really great this year! Largest attendance ever. Special thanks to Nashville fiddle player Drew Williams for performing with us at Fontana.
Jug is movin to Texas and the Stains are really gonna miss him. We will be announcing our new bass player soon!
A great crowd of Bluegrass lovers showed up at Pipestem Resort to hear the Stains and we're not sure who had the best time, us or them! Wonderful folks and a wonderful place!
Our performance at the 2013 Festival of the Bluegrass in Lexington, KY was shown live throughout KY on Kentucky Educational Television and accross the globe by KET on the web. The Stains went wide open on July 28, 2012, performing three gigs in one day. Got a nice pic on the front page of the Charleston Gazette performing for the Eastern Kanawha County Fair in early afternoon, then for the Secret Santa benefit in St. Albans in early evening and for the Mountaineer Opry House 40th Anniversary show later that evening. Lots of pickin and lots of FUN !!!
Recently performed at the Charleston, WV FESTIVALL (June 2012) event where we met a couple from England who were on vacation. They were very interested in our Appalachian culture and music. We hope to hear from them via the internet after they return to England..maybe they can help us expand to the UK ?? Ya never know... some 2 & 3/4 Mile Creekers havin some tea with the queen ??
The band made a unscheduled stop at the Brazenhead Inn recently (June 2012)and performed for a packed house of bikers...the most enthusiastic audience we can remember...hope to perform for this bunch again!! Thanks to Will & Jill at the Brazenhead for letting us stop in unexpectedly!!!!
The Stains recently performed for the students at Alban Emementary where we were overwhelmed by their positive response to Bluegrass Music and the loudest applause we've ever heard. It's obvious to us...Bluegrass Music will be alive and well in the future. Over 50 letters from the students have been received expressing their appreciation of Bluegrass music.

The Stains performed in the West Virginia "Hootenanny" clogging segment on the Andrew Zimmern "Bizarre Foods" show that will be broadcast Monday, February 27, 2012 on the Travel Channel. It was a HOOT! Taped at the Knotty Pine Lodge in Fraziers Bottom, WV on 9/20/11.
